Arne Jacobsen Caramel Leather Swan Chair
Vintage Swan Chair by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen. Designed in 1958, the swan chair has been one of the most iconic and recognizable from the mid century era. The Fritz Hansen foil label is still attached to the, early model, solid aluminum, fluted base.
The base shows a beautiful patina, but have no deep scratches or chips out of them. They are solid aluminum so they could be buffed and polished if you wanted it to look new and shiny, but we personally think that would be an injustice to the story this chair tells.
The top grain cognac leather is outstanding and will hold up much better over the years compared to its cheaper fabric counterparts.
The chair swivels like a dream with absolutely no sticking or grinding.
