Arne Vodder Easy Chair
Truly a rare find. Arne Vodder is one of the most infamous designers of the mid century era and here we have one of a the few pieces he did for Glostrup Mobelfabrik, a Danish furniture company, in 1954.
If you know anything about Mid Century furniture you know just how rare and special this chair is. Classic Mid Century sculptural lines. Tapered legs. And most important the original makers label still attached to the chair.
This chair is in great condition and will not disappoint. The cushions (foam and fabric) are brand new, but I still have the original cushions if you would like them as well. The cushions are a subtle golden wheat hue that perfectly compliments the coloring of the teak wood.
Note the beautiful spring work that keeps the cushions spended in the air. No broken springs which is very rare for a chair this age. The chair is structurally sound and very sturdy.
Why pay the same amount for a crate and barrel or west elm knock off when you can get the real deal here.
A quick Google search of this chair will link you to a handful of listings where it sold for $1,200 to $1,600.
