Teak Z Chair by Poul Jensen for Selig

If you're looking at this posting, you know just how rare this chair is. The Z chair is arguably the most iconic mid century chair that exists. Crate and Barrel, West Elm, and a plethora of other companies have been copying this chair's sexy lines for years.

Poul Jensen designed this masterpiece for the Selig Manufacturing Company in the 1950s. One of the most iconic Danish wood designs. Sculptural, wide arms. Striking lines. An angled back. Rubber seat straps. NO visible screws. And original makers mark embedded in the frame. This chair really does have it all!

The upholstery is brand new as of today. Knoll Boucle fabric in Aegean Blue fabric perfectly compliments the mid century era. 3" foam seat and 2" foam back, ensures the chairs amazing lines steal the show.

The chairs itself is in wonderful condition for being over 60 years old, with minor age-appropriate markings. The chair's left arm was slightly chipped, but was professionally restored and is only noticeable upon close inspection. Bet ya didn't even notice it until we brought it up, the repair is that good :)

Dimensions:

27" high in the back, 29" at the widest point of the arms & is 30" deep at the feet.
