Harry Bertoia's 1950 experiment with bending metal rods into practical art produced a revered collection of seating, including this exquisite Bird chair.

Innovative, comfortable and strikingly handsome, the chair's delicate appearance belies its strength and durability.

This chair and ottoman set is in great, gently used condition.  The chrome frame has minor surface patina in spots that can be wiped off if desired. The authentic knoll cover is also in great condition with very little evidence it has been used. The foam is still soft, no stains, tear, or smells. 

The chair is surprisingly ergonomic and hugs you in just the right way. The rubber shock mounts are in excellent condition and allow the chair to rock back and forth when sitting in it. 

Chair frame retains Knoll stamp and both the ottoman and seat cover have their knoll labels.
