Try and find another pair of these rare Florence Knoll designed chairs and you’ll come up empty handed. These were custom ordered and manufactured by Knoll in the 1960’s for a local Seattle Business.

The chairs are extra wide and can accomodate any size person. The back bolster pillow is down feather filled, and was original to the chair, providing wonderful lumbar support. This can obviously be removed if desired.

The walnut frame has a beautiful coloring and graining, exuding deep reds, browns, and oranges. The rear legs angle back slightly giving the chair a less “boxy” feel. Some examples of these Knoll chairs can be found with the angled back legs, but the frames are always steel, not walnut.

Recently upholstered the wool boucle fabric has a beautiful texture and consists of light gray, light brown, and medium gray fibers, giving the chair an overall medium gray appearance from a distance. We love the fabric!

Original Knoll Associates sticker is on the underside of the frame, dating this chair pre 1967 (when the business changed their name to Knoll Associates).
