Cedric Hartman Solid Brass Floor Lamp $1300
Cedric Hartman is one of the most iconic lamp designers of the mid century era. This lamp, and a few others of his, are found in the famous Farnsworth House designed by Mies Van der Rohe.
This lamp features patinated solid brass and is adjustable in height to meet a variety of lighting needs. It is 100% original and works like a charm. If you wanted to remove the patina, you could simply polish the brass to bring it back to luster, and since this is solid brass (a magnet does not stick to any part of the lamp) and not brass plated you need not worry about ruining it. Built in dimmer switch controlled by the twist knob near the head.
The stem swivels nearly 360 degrees so you have have the head hover above the feet as shown, or swiveled to the opposite direction, away from the feet.
Cedric Hartman engraving on the base authenticates this as 100% real.
Unlike most other Hartman lamps like this for sale, this is perfectly symmetrical with no sagging head or bent stem like many others.
